Workplace Drug Testing
We will provide on site drug testing at your worksite, with immediate results. Our tests are carried out by trained and qualified Medical Review Officers and Registered Healthcare Professionals which allows us to provide immediate results on site.
Non-negative test results are backed up by a lab test result in 72 hours, which provides legally defensible evidence for your HR process. Testing can be auto booked for regular visits throughout the year, for example, monthly or 3 monthly visits.
Random Testing
We will carry out planned regular testing at your site, choosing random workers to be tested. Random testing provides a fair and credible process to achieve realtime authentic testing of employees for your safety processes and maintaining client confidence.
Just Cause Testing
"Just Cause" testing is carried out when you have a particular concern about a specific employee or group of employees. We will attend your site to test specific teams or employees where a concern or suspicion of drug or alcohol impairement is present. Immediate results means that you can take action quickly to maintain employee and site safety.
Post Incident Testing
We can test by immediate call out following an accident or incident. This will ensure ongoing post incident safety and to rule out impairment causes. We will attend immediate callouts to test employees as soon as possible after the incident.
Pre Recruitment Testing
We can carry out testing on or offsite for new recruits. We operate 7 days and can carry out testing of agency staff or new recruits before they attend your worksite.
Policy Development
We have employment law trained staff who can assist with developing and implementing a Drug Testing Policy tailored to your workplace. We will provide a template and discuss your specific workplace, work type and needs to tailor your policy specifically to your organisation.
Employee Support
We are a trauma informed company and we understand that some employees may be facing personal challenges, resulting in substance abuse. We are non-judgemental about how someone gets to this point and we will provide supportive advice with dignity and compassion to start a process of help.
We have built relationships with many drug, alcohol, mental health, support helplines and charity organisations across Scotland. We will provide a support pack to any employee who is affected by a drug test result or who asks for support around drugs and alcohol.
Employer Support Services
We will assist employers who require advice around drug testing results and procedures and linked HR and legal issues. When introducing drug testing policy and procedures, you may be faced with dilemmas to consider, for example, a long serving employee whom you don’t want to lose but who has tested for a substance. We will advise you of the different options open to you, as an employer, for supporting and keeping your employee as well as keeping your workplace safe.
Education Programmes
We will provide training and toolbox talks regarding substance abuse. This covers its impact in the workplace, the dangers of driving while impaired, how to recognise the signs of impairment or substance abuse in your workplace, how substance use can lead to addiction and how to deal with first aid incidents around drug abuse and impairment.
